Roofing, Siding & Window Insights for Oakdale
Oakdale is an established inner-ring Washington County suburb just east of St. Paul, built up largely through the 1960s, ’70s, and ’80s. Its housing leans toward ramblers, split-levels, and modest two-stories from that era — now well past their original roofs, siding, and windows.
We replace mid-life architectural shingles, re-side in vinyl, LP SmartSide and James Hardie, and swap seal-failed windows for efficient units. Oakdale’s east-metro location still sees its share of hail and wind, so storm and insurance-claim work is steady, and it’s an easy drive from our St. Paul Park office.
We Know Oakdale
Oakdale is a city we know well, just east of St. Paul. It’s home to the Tartan Titans, the trails at the Oakdale Nature Preserve, and quiet established neighborhoods around Tanners Lake. We’ve put roofs and exteriors on its 1960s–80s ramblers and splits for years, and an easy drive from our St. Paul Park office keeps us close when Oakdale families call.
Recent Storm Damage in Oakdale
The Twin Cities metro has been hit by repeated hail and high winds over the past two years, and Oakdale sits right in the path. The most recent major event was the June 19, 2026 storm, which drove large hail and damaging winds across the metro. Before that, the July 28, 2025 severe storms brought widespread damaging winds — including a 60 mph gust at MSP — with hail of 1–1.5″ across much of the metro. Spring 2026 added severe hail on April 13, 2026 and a 70-mph-wind, ping-pong-hail outbreak on April 23, 2026, while September 19, 2024 produced hail up to 1.5–2.5″.
Hail and wind damage often isn’t visible from the ground — bruised shingles, granule loss, dented gutters, torn screens and cracked siding can go unnoticed until leaks appear. If any of these storms crossed your Oakdale home, a free inspection is the smart first step, and we document everything for your insurance claim.
