Roofing, Siding & Window Insights for Champlin
Champlin is a Hennepin County suburb on the Mississippi at the northern edge of the metro, built up mostly from the 1970s through the ’90s. Its housing is dominated by split-levels, two-stories, and ramblers on established lots — now well into their re-roof and re-side years, with original windows fogging up.
We replace mid-life architectural shingles, re-side in vinyl, LP SmartSide and James Hardie, and swap seal-failed windows for efficient units. Champlin’s open, riverside north-metro setting keeps it in the storm path, so hail inspections and insurance-claim work are steady.
We Know Champlin
Champlin sits on the Mississippi at the north edge of the metro, and we know it well — the Champlin Park Rebels, the Father Hennepin Festival each July, and the ’70s–’90s splits and two-stories that fill the town. We’ve re-roofed and re-sided plenty of them, making the drive over from our St. Paul Park office when Champlin homeowners call.
Recent Storm Damage in Champlin
The Twin Cities metro has been hit by repeated hail and high winds over the past two years, and Champlin sits right in the path. The most recent major event was the June 19, 2026 storm, which drove large hail and damaging winds across the metro. Before that, the July 28, 2025 severe storms brought widespread damaging winds — including a 60 mph gust at MSP — with hail of 1–1.5″ across much of the metro. Spring 2026 added severe hail on April 13, 2026 and a 70-mph-wind, ping-pong-hail outbreak on April 23, 2026, while September 19, 2024 produced hail up to 1.5–2.5″.
Hail and wind damage often isn’t visible from the ground — bruised shingles, granule loss, dented gutters, torn screens and cracked siding can go unnoticed until leaks appear. If any of these storms crossed your Champlin home, a free inspection is the smart first step, and we document everything for your insurance claim.
