Roof

Look for loose, curling, or missing shingles
Check flashing around chimneys and vents
Clear branches and debris that can dam water

Gutters & downspouts

Clean them so heavy rain drains fast
Make sure downspouts extend away from the foundation
Re-secure any loose sections

Siding & windows

Re-caulk gaps and check seals
Trim tree limbs that overhang the house
Note any cracked or loose panels

Document your home now
